Business Ownership Workshops:
ABC's of Starting Your Own Business Workshop covers: start-up issues, licensing, recordkeeping, budgeting, and an overview of the development of financial proposals.
Business Coaching
Experienced and professional business consultants are available to assist the potential and existing business owner. The Center provides free, confidential, one-to-one management assistance, which can include:
- Business plans
- Loan packages
- Evaluation of business ideas
- Business start-up information
- Review of personal and business finances
Appointments are available at no cost to the client and can be scheduled at multiple locations throughout the Region. Please call for schedule availability.
Business Library, Computer, & Internet Access
The Women's Business & Training Center offers a variety of resources to assist clients in their business ventures. Computers with high-speed wireless Internet access are available for research or assistance with program applications such as Microsoft Word, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher, QuickBooks, and other business software. Staff can also assist businesses in the creation of low cost business cards, signs, postcards and brochures with easy-to-use software and color printers.An on-site Business Resource Library that has numerous books related to business start-ups, financing, management, and much more. Networking & Personal Services
The Center offers regular opportunities for women to gather and network with one another. These networking opportunities allow individuals time for mentoring, sharing resources, creative brainstorming, problem solving, marketing and educational activities. Additional personal support is given to individuals faced with challenges in the business world.
